Hello, I am Emma
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent and an expat living in Zurich, Switzerland.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn't in the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — fresh systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built PureGardenCrest
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Switzerland.
What This Site Represents (And What It Does Not)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from life in Switzerland
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- An official tourism resource
- A sponsored-review platform
- A generic travel diary
Future Outlook
We will continue our stay in Switzerland and keep learning along the way. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Zurich or anywhere in Switzerland, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Emma
